Not too may pictures today. Continually plagued by camera rechargeable battery issues. And keeping camera protected from bad weather...
Another great day with about 45 minutes of torrential
rain downpour, with lightning to light up the black skies. Not just a little sprinkle, but a rain that hurt. 1 step from hail. We didn't even stop to put on extra gear. Just powered through.
Max Elevation today: 8455

Another excellent day, although it started in Montana very brisk, right around +3 degress, then got cooler. The day ended up around +27, or about 80 degrees. Ran through some smoke in the Montana air.
We actually finished the full tour a whole DAY ahead of schedule. Although not a race, Terry & Kim were first to arrive. Brian, Ron & Barry would probably have been about 20th (in the top 10%).

3 Flags Classic Day 4 - Monday September 3, 2012
As we arrived a DAY early, this was a rest, socialize, snoop around day.
Met friends, ate well, and lazed around.
The only riding was to gas up & wash the bike.

Comments from the riders:

Brian Hooker
  2012 Goldwing 1800, Candy Red
Another absolutely awesome tour! Again, saw some fabulous country through the middle of the USA, and into western Canada. Thank you 3 Flags organizers! Great bunch of riding mates. Camaraderie, jocularity, & just plain good riding.
Temperatures ranged from about C-2 degrees (F-35) between Butte & Wisdom MT, to about C-35 (F-96) coming across the desert into El Paso. We crossed the Continental Divide, and numerous mountain passes to elevations of up to 10,926 feet.
The 3 Flags group is like a large family that all get along to pull for the cause. A very diverse group of friendly riders (see stats).
I HIGHLY recommend this ride to anyone with a capable bike. I would also recommend NOT going as hard and long as we did on this tour. Shorter days, more picture stops, eat well and sleep soundly. Take the full 4 days.
